Description

Do you write poems that reflect on personal experience?

Would you like to learn how to balance confessional work with form and style?

Challenge your poetry writing in the first of our Masterclass Poetry Series, led by internationally recognised poet and literary editor, Todd Swift.

About the Poetry Masterclass

Todd will help you look at the delicate balance you need when writing poetry out of personal experience. You’ll learn how to negotiate joy and sorrow, how to balance reflections of personal experience and conversely, how biography can inform your poems.

Todd often uses memoir and biography in his own work and will use his experience to help guide your poems. You will read and respond to poetry from Todd’s collection, generate new poetry from exercises and gain valuable insights by critiquing each others’ work.

Make the most of Todd Swift’s expertise and find the perfect equilibrium between self and form in your poetry – book today.

This workshop is organised in association with the Poetry School.
