Description

"Parkes' steady, assured writing weaves a cosmological mystery that keeps you guessing to the very last page" Courttia Newland

Is the middle of your novel bogging down your story?

Or have you lost steam somewhere towards the centre?

Overcome your novel problems with this Novel Series workshop taught by critically acclaimed author, poet and editor, Nii Parkes.

About the Novel Workshop

Nii Parkes will help you unravel your novel, solve structural issues and maintain momentum in this special workshop devoted to the difficult middle section.

You’ll take a step back and examine your novel’s structure and  content afresh. Through examining the architecture of your writing Nii and your fellow workshop participants will help you to identify the potential issues at the heart of your novel and iron out any issues.

You’ll complete a series of exercises where you’ll work on momentum, dramatic tension and the positioning of climaxes and revelations, helping you to ensure that you keep your reader hooked from beginning to end.

All you need to participate is the first page of your novel (or novel in progress) and the last page which you have written.
