If you’re interested in challenging and investing in your writing then this Masterclass Series is for you.

Made up of three workshops (including a weekend Masterclass with George Szirtes), the series is designed to help you stretch and improve your poetry skills across the first half of 2014. Whilst each workshop can be booked individually, the Masterclass Series has been created to help writers progress, with each workshop focussing on the separate components essential for good poetry.

(Self) Portraits with Todd Swift

Saturday 8th March, 10am-4pm, Writers’ Centre Norwich
Challenge your writing with this Masterclass on self and form in poetry, led by Eyewear Publishing Director Todd Swift.

Editing, Structure and Form with Helen Mort

Saturday 31st May, 10am-4pm, Writers’ Centre Norwich
Learn the knack to editing and buff up up your poetry with this workshop from award winning poet Helen Mort.

Voice and Other Places with George Szirtes

Saturday & Sunday 12/13th July, 10am-4pm, Writers’ Centre Norwich
Enjoy a weekend devoted to the craft of poetry under the tutelage of internationally renowned poet George Szirtes.


Level

This Masterclass is suitable for advanced level writers.

Advanced- An experienced writer, perhaps with a history of publication or previous academic experience of writing, who wants to work towards professional publication.


Payment is non-refundable on this package unless one of the workshops is cancelled. 

About the Venue

This workshop will take place in the workshop room situated on the ground floor of the Writers’ Centre Norwich office, on 14 Princes Street. 

The room provides an ideal environment for creative thinking and learning with plenty of space and natural light. We also provide a range of teas, good strong coffee and the vital ingredient: biscuits.

Writers’ Centre Norwich

Writers’ Centre Norwich is located in the mediaeval quarter of Norwich City Centre. It is a fifteen minute walk from Norwich Train Station and a ten minute walk from Castle Meadow. There is parking available at the nearby Elm Hill car park and St Andrews car park both of which are a short walk away.
