Writing the Short Story: A Weekend Course with Dave Pescod
Writers' Centre Norwich
Revitalise your short story writing with Dave Pescod.
Are your short stories missing something essential or somehow falling flat?
Spend a weekend immersed in the art of the short story and emerge inspired and revitalised with this workshop from short form expert, Dave Pescod.
About the Short Story Workshop
This workshop will expand your knowledge and help you master the form. You’ll examine the nature of the short story and use exercises to provoke and stimulate new writing.
You’ll spend the mornings of the weekend completing exercises, working on outlines and producing new work. In the afternoons you’ll be invited to share your work (which will have been circulated in advance) to receive valuable feedback from your fellow participants and from tutor Dave.
Over the weekend you will read, listen and watch the short story through traditional and multimedia formats, revealing the limitless possibilities of the form to you and inspiring you to experiment with your writing.
