Escalator Literature winner 2009: Belona Greenwood
Biography:
Belona has written for Italy’s La Repubblica and Il Manifesto, and has worked as a journalist across Europe and beyond. She completed the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing MA in Scriptwriting and runs The Greenword Tree, an organisation which provides imaginative projects for schools and the community. Her screenwriting has won the Theatre Prize and has been shortlisted by Marchmont Films as well as forThe British Short Screenplay Award in 2008. She was a winner of the Decibel Penguin Competition 2008.
