Form and Performance
With Tim Turnbull
Saturday 4 April | 11am – 5pm | £40
Forward prize nominee Tim Turnbull leads a workshop looking at how formal aspects of poetry relate to a performance/reading. Through a variety of practical exercises writers will consider the basics of metre, the use or absence of rhyme, and the impact of line length to see how traditional methods that may seem daunting can be used to improve performance. No previous knowledge is necessary.
