Take those exciting first steps into fiction writing with this friendly, supportive ten week course led by expert tutor and published writer, Ian Nettleton.

Ian has been leading sold-out beginners’ fiction courses with Writers’ Centre Norwich for a number of years. Through a combination of group discussion and one-to-one feedback, he will equip you with the necessary tools to understand and write engaging stories. Your efforts will be rewarded with a Certificate of Attendance from the University of East Anglia.

About Ian

Ian Nettleton’s novel The Last Migration was runner-up for the Bath Novel Award 2014. He has a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the University of East Anglia and teaches creative writing (prose, scriptwriting, journalism) at the UEA and the Open University.  He has freelanced for the BBC as a writer/presenter (summarising classic novels in sixty seconds, starting with War and Peace), appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Open Book and critiqued for TLC, London. He is currently working on a novel about a boy whose father is an exorcist.
