Julianne Pachico grew up in Colombia and now lives in Norwich, where she is studying towards a PhD in Creative and Critical writing at UEA. In 2015 she was longlisted for the Sunday Times Short Story Prize. Her linked collection, The Lucky Ones, is forthcoming from Faber & Faber in 2017 and her stories have appeared in Lighthouse, The White Review and The New Yorker.

UEA Live

For the past three years WCN has co-organised, hosted and promoted UEA Live. This free public literature event provides the opportunity for UEA students to read their work to a live audience alongside established writers. It takes place every month at WCN Dragon Hall and routinely attracts upwards of 100 guests including UEA students, staff and the wider public.
