Join us for drinks, conversation and a very special event to celebrate the new volume of Granta Magazine.

Launching stories on the theme of Going Back, you can look forward to hearing from Booker Prize and Whitbread First Novel Award shortlisted author Andrew O'Hagan - an author who, back in 2004, Granta magazine nominated as one of 20 'Best of Young British Novelists'. O'Hagan has proved them right by pushing the conventional limits of literary genres and blurring the boundaries between fiction, memoir, documentary and journalism.

Following hot on O'Hagan's heels will be twice longlisted Man Booker Prize author Jon McGregor; 2009 John Llewellyn Rhys Prize winner Evie Wyld and Colin Grant, author of the critically acclaimed biography Negro with a Hat: The Rise and Fall of Marcus Garvey.

Granta believes simply in the power and urgency of stories and the story’s supreme ability to describe, illuminate and make real. It works – the world’s best writers are all contributors to the magazine.

Find the Thomas Paine Centre on the UEA campus map.
From the main entrance, turn right at the Security Lodge and park at the vistors car park. From there, continue walking in the direction of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, until you reach the Thomas Paine Centre.
