Description
40 Years Creative Writing from UEA past, present and future
Join us for an extraordinary evening of readings, conversation and celebration to mark the publication of Body of Work: 40 Years of Creative Writing at UEA.
The anthology describes 40 years of creative writing through the words of a host of brilliant writers with connections to UEA and Norwich.
You can look forward to a reading by
Body of Work contributor
Lynne Bryan, who took the MA in Creative Writing at the UEA, as well as current UEA PhD students
Anjali Joseph, winner of the Desmond Elliott prize, and Faber poet,
Sam Riviere.
And it doesn’t stop there.
The evening will also be a launch for
www.newwriting.net - an online showcase of work from UEA faculty and students alongside commissioned writing from regional, national and international authors working with Writers' Centre Norwich.
As well as a brief walk through the site, you’ll be treated to readings by two New Writing contributors; award-winning poet
Esther Morgan and novelist
Tom Benn, recipient of the 2009 Malcolm Bradbury bursary.
This will be an evening of fantastic readings from former and current UEA Creative Writing students and faculty. Come along for a free glass of wine with excellent conversation guaranteed.
