This session is hosted by Lavinia Greenlaw and features readings by David Harsent and Frances Leviston followed by a discussion about British poetry.

Lavinia Greenlaw's poetry includes
Minsk and
The Casual Perfect. Her other works include two novels and the non-fiction
The Importance of Music to Girls. She has held residencies at the Science Museum and the Royal Society of Medicine. Her work for radio includes programmes about the Arctic, the Baltic, Emily Dickinson and Elizabeth Bishop.
David Harsent has published ten collections of poetry. The most recent,
Night - published in January 2011 - is Poetry Book Society Choice for Spring 2011, and is currently shortlisted for the Forward Prize (Best Collection), the T.S. Eliot Prize, and the Costa Poetry Prize.
Frances Leviston's first book of poems, Public Dream, was published by Picador in 2007 and shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize. She works as a freelance writing teacher and reviews new poetry for the
Guardian.
