Description
“He holds our world up to a language mostly kept secret up to now; the refraction of the familiar is dizzying yet often moving.”
Les Murray on David Morley’s The Invisible Kings, Carcanet Press, 2007
Join leading British poet, David Morley, for a poetry workshop in Norwich that will be fresh, fun and unlike anything you've experienced.
About the workshop
Leaving our workshop room, David will lead you down Princes Street to the grounds of Norwich Cathedral – your new poetry environment.
Taking in your stirring surroundings, you will be inspired by its gardens, labyrinth and ancient closes.
Enjoy the quiet, green space in the heart of a busy city and compose poetry in response to your experience of a subverted, inverted, layered world.
About the tutor
David is a busy man: he has published twenty books, including eleven collections of poetry; his creative writing podcasts are among the most popular literature downloads on iTunes worldwide; he tutors for The Arvon Foundation and The Poetry School and is the receiver of fourteen literary awards, including a major Eric Gregory Award and an Arts Council Fellowship. Find out more on David’s website.
Take in your new surroundings and breathe fresh life into your poetry writing.
