Sunday 21st of June marked the finale of Refugee Week in Norwich. In all we had 32 events over 8 days to celebrate. The programme of events was very diverse with everything from films, plays, exhibitions, talks, walks, poetry readings, social events to family fun days. The deadline for entries to the BBC National Short Story Award 2009 is fast approaching. On April 23rd Writers’ Centre Norwich and BBC Norfolk asked the people of Norfolk to send over digital records of their day to add to a unique interactive map that is available for the whole world to see. |

Writers’ Centre Norwich is a literature development agency based in Norwich. We run literature events, projects and creative writing prizes and competitions including: a creative writing prize, Ventures; our literary festival, Worlds; Refugee Week events; readings and a talent development scheme Escalator Literature.
