Literature organisations

Writers’ Centre Norwich works with organisations locally, nationally and internationally to create opportunities for writers at all stages of their career. This includes commissioning opportunities, events, teaching and much more.

In addition we support people starting out or with a limited history of publication who are looking to progress with their writing. Please browse our courses, workshops, mentoring opportunities and resources to find something right for you.

Online courses

Explore short fiction and poetry, receive constructive feedback on your work and meet other writers, all through an easy-to-use, creative online platform.

WCN runs a year round programme of writing workshops. These are friendly, supportive and encouraging sessions designed to help you progress with your writing.

Literary Translation

We aim to support and create opportunities for emerging and established literary translators and encourage new readers for books in translation.

Coaching & Mentoring

Coaching sessions offer simple steps to help you personally develop as an artist and overcome stumbling blocks in your writing journey. Mentoring sessions offer a longer term package of coaching sessions in addition to detailed editorial feedback on your written work.

We are no longer taking bookings for coaching and mentoring sessions until June 2018, when we re-open as the National Centre for Writing. In the meantime, please contact our mentors Katherine Skala (prose), Heidi Williamson (poetry) and Keiron Pim (non-fiction) in person if you would like to arrange a session with them. Many thanks for your patience and continued support.
